Welcome to Future Stars Gymnastics Academy

The purpose for this page is to inform gymnasts and parents of our updated re-opening steps and physical distancing policies, payment policy, rules and regulations during these challenging times in order for your child to be part of the Future Stars Gymnastics Academy.

These policies are designed to ensure that all our athletes are being safe and healthy, and will learn gymnastics with a positive coaching approach.

Our primary concern is to provide the most unique, beneficial, memorable, and rewarding experience for the Team athletes during their training with the application of progressive skill learning, safety, discipline and respect. We believe that participation in gymnastics will give your child the opportunity to build confidence and self-esteem and will help them achieve their personal goals. With our positive approach in coaching the athletes, we support everyone in their pursuit of their own dreams and competitive excellence.

Re-Opening Steps for Future Stars Gymnastics Academy

We would like to make sure that all our clients will be following all the safety standards to keep your kids safe. We are following all the CDC safety guidelines for COVID-19, making sure we are up to date with all the changes from local, state, and federal authorities. We would like to encourage everyone to follow the safety measures and be mindful of your health and health of your child.

Before coming to the gym:

• Please check if you or your child have any symptoms (per the CDC, symptoms which include cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills, muscle pain, sore throat, and new loss of taste or smell).

• If anyone in your household is sick, please stay home.

Entering the facility:

• Our staff member will greet you and your child upon entering our facility. All our staff members will be wearing face masks.
• NO PARENTS will be allowed to enter the facility until further notice.
• Maintain 6 feet distance.
• NO lines or groups of people inside or outside the facility.
• Temperature of your child will be taken upon entering the facility. The temperature must be under 100.4º to be able to stay in our facility for the training. If your child does not meet the criteria as stated with the CDC, they will not be permitted into the gym. The following questions will be asked:
1. Have you been ill with a fever, chills, cough or body aches in the last 14 days?
2. Has anyone in your household had these symptoms in the last 14 days?
3. Have you or anyone in your household traveled internationally in the last 14 days?
4. Have you or anyone in your household traveled to a location in the US where an increase of incidences of COVID-19 has been reported in the last 14 days?
5. Have you been told by a healthcare provider that you should self-quarantine due to potential COVID-19 exposure or you are suspected of having COVID-19?
• Hands must be washed prior to entering the Gym.
• Kids must take off their street shoes before entering the Gym (socks MUST stay on).

Lobby Area:

• Parents are not allowed to enter our facility until further notice.

Bathroom:

• Kids MUST wash hands before entering the Gym area. Maintain 6 feet distance.
• We will provide the signs for proper hand washing procedure.

Entering the gym

• NO adult is allowed to enter the Gym. The mask for the kids is not required.
• Maintain 6 feet distance. NO lines. NO waiting in line.
• Kids must take off their street shoes before entering the Gym (socks MUST stay on).
• TEAM gymnasts must bring their OWN GYM BAG containing water bottle(s), hand sanitizer, bars grips, a block of chalk in a sturdy freezer bag (plastic box), a container for chalk, water spray bottle, a jump-rope and an athletic tape.
NOTE for the parents: we urge parents to make sure the bags get wiped down and disinfected when it arrives back home and before it enters the gym!
NOTE for the athletes: STAY in YOUR assigned lane until COACH tells you to rotate. STAY on YOUR station until the COACH tells you to rotate.

Physical distancing and space use in the gym:

USAG guidelines allow 4 kids per 1,000 square feet.
We have enough space for all of our team athletes at the same time.

Equipment use in the gym:

VAULT: Maintain 6 feet distance. NO lines. NO waiting in line.
BARS: bring your own CHALK, the chalk container and the water spray bottle.
BEAM: bring YOUR OWN SHOES.
FLOOR: STAY on YOUR station until the COACH tells you to rotate.

Maintaining health in the gym:

• During practice we will encourage kids to maintain their personal hygiene.
• During practice we will make sure kids have safe distancing going to the bathroom and washing their hands before returning back to the gym area.
• If anyone starts feeling unwell during practice, our staff will call a parent/guardian to inform you to pick up your child. The child will be isolated from the gym and will be waiting in the lobby area until the pick up.
• We will monitor our staff and athletes throughout their practice for any signs of possible illness as well.
• If we are told about a case of possible COVID-19 or identify a case, we are mandated to notify our Local Department of Health.

Leaving the gym:

• Parents are welcome to pick up their kids in front of our facility.
• Our staff will make sure that your child will exit with their belongings, place on a face covering and sanitize their hands.
CLEANING AND DISINFECTING our GYM will be done every day after practice.
